What You'll Learn

Fundamentals of Ableton Live

Learn to build compelling loops, grooves, and textures by combining drum machines, samplers, and software instruments into tight, musical patterns. Capture performances and sounds by recording and editing audio with precision, then arrange your ideas into full tracks using a modern digital audio workstation. Finally, apply basic mixing techniques and effects to shape tone, space, and dynamics so your productions sound polished and ready to share.

A person is working with music production equipment, including a keyboard with illuminated keys, a digital pad controller, and a computer screen displaying digital audio workstation software with colorful audio tracks and waveforms in a dimly lit environment.

Learn Move

All in-person students will learn to use and perform on Move - an intuitive device for playing music, programming beats and controlling Ableton Live. Move is a great first device for aspiring music producers and we are happy to provide one for each student to use during classes.

Showcasing your music

Every course concludes with a showcase where your music can be shared at a community show or distributed on the streaming and download services of your choice.
