The heart of the Music Together® program is our Mixed Ages class for children from birth through age 5—and the grownups who love them. Every class is designed around the way young children naturally learn: through play, movement, connection, and shared experiences with the people they trust most.
One of the things families love most about Music Together is the joy of learning alongside children of different ages. Babies observe older children, toddlers jump right in, and preschoolers grow in confidence as leaders and helpers. The result is a warm, playful community experience that feels more like an extended family gathering than a traditional class.
Each week, your certified Music Together teacher leads families in singing, dancing, instrument play, movement activities, and musical games using rich, engaging songs from around the world. From cozy lullabies to energetic jam sessions with child-friendly instruments, every class is designed to support your child’s musical growth and development in a fun and pressure-free way.
You’ll also receive award-winning music and family resources to continue the music-making at home. No musical experience is needed—just a willingness to sing, move, be playful, and enjoy the experience with your child.

Mixed Ages (ages 0-5) Tuition: $205.00 for the first child / $135 for 2nd child over 8 months at start date of class (2nd child/SIBLING under 8 monthsat the start date of class attends FREE)

Weekly semester classes (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer)
Illustrated keepsake songbook, CD, and digital downloads via the Family Music Zone® and the Music Together app

Center Health Policy
Welcome to our Music Together community. Young children learn best through active participation, movement, and close interaction with caregivers and classmates. Because our classes are highly interactive and include infants, toddlers, pregnant caregivers, and families with varying health needs, we ask all families to help keep our classroom as healthy as possible.
When to Stay Home
Please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms:
Fever of 100.4°F or higher within the past 24 hours (without fever-reducing medication)
Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Persistent or severe coughing
Difficulty breathing or wheezing not related to a known, controlled condition
Unexplained rash
Eye drainage or suspected pink eye
Contagious illness such as flu, RSV, COVID-19, strep throat, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, lice, etc.
Any illness that prevents your child from comfortably participating in class
Caregivers should also stay home if they are actively ill.
Returning to Class
Children and caregivers may return to class when:
They have been fever-free for 24 hours without medication
Vomiting/diarrhea has resolved for at least 24 hours
Symptoms are improving and they can comfortably participate
Any contagious illness is no longer considered contagious according to a healthcare provider or current public health guidance
Siblings & Guests
Please do not bring sick siblings or guests to class. Even mild symptoms in young children can spread quickly in a mixed-age environment.
Classroom Cleaning & Instruments
Instruments and shared props are cleaned regularly.
Families are encouraged to use hand sanitizer or wash hands before class.
Some exploration of instruments by babies and toddlers is developmentally normal. We sanitize materials with this in mind.
Outdoor or Makeup Options
If your family must miss class due to illness:
You are always welcome to schedule a makeup class when available.
Tuition cannot be refunded for missed classes due to illness.
Occasionally, alternative class options may be offered when possible.
Respect for Our Community
We understand young children often have lingering runny noses or mild seasonal allergies. We ask families to use good judgment and prioritize the wellbeing of the entire class community, especially infants and medically vulnerable participants.

Meet Jen Kuhn
Music Together at Funkhaus director and instructor
Jen graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She currently holds certifications as a PreK-12 Music Teacher and a Music Together Teacher. As a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, Jen enjoys playing the flute and piano. During her six years of teaching as a K–5 general music teacher at Princeton City Schools, she developed a deep passion for creating engaging and creative music experiences for young learners.
Jen’s journey with Music Together started when her daughter was three, and they both attended classes together. This experience left a lasting impression on her, inspiring her belief in the transformative power of early childhood music education through play, connection, and joy. Jen is excited to share that same sense of musical discovery and community with the families she works with.
